May Afterhours Field Trip: PSO Line Training Facility in Sand Springs

Come join us for a tour of PSO’s Line Mechanic training facility in Sand Springs, OK! Our host, Tracy Weldon, will show us where current and future line mechanics learn how to climb poles, work on and fix wires and transformers, and the latest in safety procedures. Tracy will talk about PSO’s multi-year program where they take new apprentices and turn them into journeyman line mechanics.

The second of the Training Essentials workshops, Designing Learning, will include an overview of the strategic processes of Instructional Design and Development by understanding learning objectives, gathering data, technical vs soft skills, format, layout, visual aids and templates. This session will be presented by Vera Pell, who brings over 24 years of training knowledge and experience.
